Being
in Between
Bristol
Zoological Gardens 14-16 October 2005
A
small-scale body based interactive durational performance at Bristol
Zoo examining creative, ecological and ethical issues. The project
will enhance public perception of the dynamics and interdependence
between primates, plants and humans stimulating an appreciation
of the implications of a bio-centric perception of environment.
The
performers were trained in a range of styles, including outdoor
theatre, movement and dance, music and interacting with the audience.
We used these styles to create 'durational performances' that ran
for most of the zoo opening hours. Some parts of the performances
took place at specific times and were quite 'high profile', some
parts happened over the course of the day and were almost invisible.
